Do I really need travel protection?
Technically no — but a single missed flight, lost bag, or stomach bug can cost you more than the plan itself. For about $30–$90, you protect a $1,000+ trip. Most travelers add it.
When do I have to add it?
You can add Travel Protection up to 14 days before departure. Some perks (like Cancel For Any Reason) are only available within 7 days of your initial booking.
What's a "covered reason" for cancellation?
Illness or injury (yours or an immediate family member), jury duty, school exam reschedules, severe weather, and a few more. The full list ships with your policy. The Premium plan adds Cancel For Any Reason at 75% reimbursement.
Is medical care abroad really covered?
Yes. Plus and Premium plans include up to $25K in medical and dental coverage in your destination country, plus medical evacuation home if it's required.
What if I just change my mind?
That's where Cancel For Any Reason comes in (Premium plan). Reimburses 75% of your prepaid trip cost as long as you cancel 48+ hours before departure.
